Debt Defense and Consumer Rights Law CLE

Friday, April 11 | Noon to 1 PM | Virtual and In Person

Melissa Weinstein, Advocacy Director at Legal Aid Society, will present on debt collection and consumer protection laws, including practical guidance on representing legal aid clients in consumer debt litigation. The CLE will be in person and virtual. For those attending in person, lunch will be provided. The presentation will be recorded and available online for later viewing. 

The in-person session will be held at Legal Aid Society's Downtown Louisville Office (416 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd., Ste. 300 Louisville, KY 40202).  For questions regarding this training, please contact Liz Tate at ltate@yourlegalaid.org.

Assisting Self-Represented Clients at Pro Se Divorce Clinics

Friday, April 25 | Noon to 1 PM

Virtual and In Person

This one-hour virtual and in-person CLE will prepare potential volunteer attorneys to assist at pro se divorce clinics, where they will assist clients in preparing, filing, and finalizing their pro se divorce.  The in-person session will be held at Legal Aid Society's Downtown Louisville Office (416 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd., Ste. 300 Louisville, KY 40202).  For those attending in person, lunch will be provided.  For questions regarding this training, please contact Beth Robinson at brobinson@yourlegalaid.org. 

1 hour CLE credit pending with the Kentucky Bar Association.
