Investing Injustice: Eviction & Inequity

Wednesday, February 26 | Noon to 1 PM | Zoom

McKenley Butler, a law student at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law and recipient of the Breonna Taylor Legacy Fellowship, will explain how housing law and the eviction process played a role in the execution of the no-knock warrant that ended Taylor's life.

Discharging Tax Debt in Bankruptcy

Thursday, February 20 | Noon to 1 PM

Virtual and In Person

Nick Maraman, Senior Attorney at the IRS’s Office of the Chief Counsel, will discuss discharging tax debt in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer bankruptcy proceedings and other tax-related issues that can arise in the bankruptcy context.  Lunch will be provided for those who attend in person.
