Journey to Justice 2025: $51,000 Raised to Advance Justice for Kentuckians
More than 200 guests joined us for this year’s Journey to Justice, coming together to celebrate our shared commitment to equal access to justice. Together, we raised $51,000 after expenses, critical funds that will help protect families from eviction, secure benefits for veterans, support survivors of violence, and ensure Kentuckians facing crisis have a trusted advocate by their side.
The evening also honored sisters and attorneys Mitzi and Michelle Wyrick with the Brown-Forman Spirit of Justice Award, recognizing their extraordinary dedication to pro bono service and expanding access to justice. Their example reflects the very best of what it means to stand with Legal Aid.
A highlight of the night was our interactive mission scavenger hunt, generously sponsored by Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company of Kentucky. For every completed scavenger hunt returned, Lawyers Mutual donated $25—up to $1,500—to support Legal Aid. With over 110 scavenger hunts returned, attendees not only helped unlock the full donation but also learned more about the real-life impact Legal Aid has in the lives of our clients.
