PRO BONO MONTH CLE ANNOUNCED
Join us Wednesday, October 7th at noon for a FREE virtual CLE!
What happens when a landlord passes away while a tenant remains in possession? What rights and responsibilities survive when a tenant dies during a lease term?
Join Legal Aid Society for a practical and engaging CLE that explores the often-overlooked intersection of landlord-tenant and probate law. Featuring Legal Aid Senior Attorney Rebekah Cotton, volunteer attorney Greg Daly, and probate attorney Maria Fernandez, this lunchtime virtual program will examine real-world scenarios under both URLTA and Non-URLTA frameworks, share case stories from landlord and tenant perspectives, and provide practical tools for attorneys handling these complex situations. Participants will also learn how they can make a meaningful impact through Legal Aid Society's Volunteer Eviction Defense Project, wills clinics, and other probate-related pro bono opportunities.
This program has been submitted to the Kentucky Bar Association for approval of 1.0 hour of CLE credit. Approval is currently pending.
