FREE Virtual CLE on Student Loan Debt - 11.18.21

Do you have student loan debt? Do your clients? Join Legal Aid Society and attorneys Katherine Bell (U.S. Attorney’s Office), Ted King (Frost Brown Todd), and Bryan Sisto (Frost Brown Todd) for a two-hour virtual CLE on Thursday, November 18th from 12 PM - 2 PM.

Presenters will discuss the discharge of student debt in bankruptcy, including Sixth Circuit caselaw and legislative and administrative proposals currently pending. In addition, non-bankruptcy alternatives to dealing with student debt will be discussed, including income-driven repayment and administrative discharge.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS

Katherine Bell, U.S. Attorney’s Office

Katie is an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky, and she primarily represents federal agencies in bankruptcies, foreclosures, and other property matters throughout the Western District. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s office, Katie was a member with Stites & Harbison PLLC where she represented commercial and residential mortgage servicers in contested litigation and advised clients on lending compliance issues.
